Hi Andre,
I just tried this and it worked as expected.
- right mouse click on the desctop
- create link to device
- select device, name etc and press OK
- icon is on the desktop
- click icon - konqueror starts properly

Perhaps it is problem with association the extension of the desktop file
with konqueror. I am not 100% sure about it though

regards
