Ubuntu and vhost

Hi guys,

I want to do some quick tests with vhost in my Ubuntu 14.10 however, after installing and executing targetcli I cannot see vhost (I see backstores, ib_srpt, iscsi, loopback, qla2xxx and tcm_fc).

I loaded the vhost_scsi kernel module before:

root@ubuntu:~# lsmod | grep target_core_mod
target_core_mod       370995  11 tcm_qla2xxx,iscsi_target_mod,tcm_fc,ib_srpt,vhost_scsi,tcm_loop
configfs               35358  4 tcm_qla2xxx,iscsi_target_mod,target_core_mod

but still vhost does not appear. I also did the same exercise with SLES 12 and it worked so my guess is that vhost is somehow not yet ready for Ubuntu 14.10 and perhaps I will need to download the source code and compile it myself. Is this correct or can somebody notice what I am doing incorrectly?

Thanks,
Manuel
