iblock vs fileio

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi Nick and all,

Fileio backstore appears to be able to also use block devices directly.
This is a duplication of iblock, except iblock is using the async
submit_bio() instead of blocking vfs_readv/writev calls.

Is one of these going to be generally better than the other, so maybe we
could drop one?

If not, what's the guidance for how users should pick between the two
backstores?

Thanks -- Regards -- Andy
