Confirmation: Kernel 3.10.77-rc2 builds for the target (a dockstar),
and the system boots up without visible regressions.

About the possible fix I suggested: The mentioned commit applies for
include/linux/irq.h only but I still consider it way too intrusive to
judge whether this is sufficient or will introduce other problems. So
I'll happily leave this to people who have deeper knowledge of that
field, I don't.
