This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled drm/radeon: add locking around atombios scratch space usage to the 3.17-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: drm-radeon-add-locking-around-atombios-scratch-space-usage.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.17 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 1c9498425453bb65ef339a57705c5ef59fe1541d Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Dave Airlie <airlied@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 11 Nov 2014 09:16:15 +1000 Subject: drm/radeon: add locking around atombios scratch space usage From: Dave Airlie <airlied@xxxxxxxxxx> commit 1c9498425453bb65ef339a57705c5ef59fe1541d upstream. While developing MST support I noticed I often got the wrong data back from a transaction, in a racy fashion. I noticed the scratch space wasn't locked against concurrent users. Based on a patch by Alex, but I've made it a bit more obvious when things are locked.
