Actually forget about it...  I never sent
0366a1c70b89efed4f9d590216bb004a16effbed to stable, and without it
Fred's patch doesn't break us and the fix in
8b5ede69d24db939f52b47effff2f6fe1e83e08b shouldn't be necessary.
