It fails to apply to the 3.11 stable kernel, and ded797547548 hasn't
been applied to any stable kernel tree.

Hm, odd, I don't know why ded797547548 wasn't applied, it should have
been, my tools picked it up, but it doesn't look like it ever actually
got applied, that's not good at all...  I'll go pick that one up now,
but even then, 8b5ede69d24db939f52b47effff2f6fe1e83e08b doesn't apply,
can you send a backport to me to apply?
