This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled xhci: Add a quirk for writing ERST in high-low order to the 6.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: xhci-add-a-quirk-for-writing-erst-in-high-low-order.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 525222814f03c36309bea0992d0e53f045f9031a Author: Daehwan Jung <dh10.jung@xxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon Jun 10 20:39:12 2024 +0900 xhci: Add a quirk for writing ERST in high-low order [ Upstream commit bc162403e33e1d57e40994977acaf19f1434e460 ] This quirk is for the controller that has a limitation in supporting separate ERSTBA_HI and ERSTBA_LO programming. It's supported when the ERSTBA is programmed ERSTBA_HI before ERSTBA_LO. That's because the internal initialization of event ring fetches the "Event Ring Segment Table Entry" based on the indication of ERSTBA_LO written.
