This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled RDMA/bnxt_re: Fix the max msix vectors macro to the 6.9-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: rdma-bnxt_re-fix-the-max-msix-vectors-macro.patch and it can be found in the queue-6.9 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 6267036a51defc639186f33952ac96bb22e19e12 Author: Selvin Xavier <selvin.xavier@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon May 20 01:56:58 2024 -0700 RDMA/bnxt_re: Fix the max msix vectors macro [ Upstream commit 056620da899527c14cf36e5019a0decaf4cf0f79 ] bnxt_re no longer decide the number of MSI-x vectors used by itself. Its decided by bnxt_en now. So when bnxt_en changes this value, system crash is seen. Depend on the max value reported by bnxt_en instead of using the its own macros.
