This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled KVM: Drop unused @gpa param from gfn=>pfn cache's __release_gpc() helper to the 5.19-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: kvm-drop-unused-gpa-param-from-gfn-pfn-cache-s-__rel.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.19 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 42a8593225a8bdc485b1f7203bc49cd5b103376f Author: Sean Christopherson <seanjc@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Apr 29 21:00:20 2022 +0000 KVM: Drop unused @gpa param from gfn=>pfn cache's __release_gpc() helper [ Upstream commit 345b0fd6fe5f66dfe841bad0b39dd11a5672df68 ] Drop the @pga param from __release_gpc() and rename the helper to make it more obvious that the cache itself is not being released. The helper will be reused by a future commit to release a pfn+khva combination that is _never_ associated with the cache, at which point the current name would go from slightly misleading to blatantly wrong. No functional change intended.
