This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled tty: serial: uartlite: allow 64 bit address to the 5.4-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: tty-serial-uartlite-allow-64-bit-address.patch and it can be found in the queue-5.4 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. commit 41e7d7969f28f9f001476e9c900e273e0474e013 Author: Lizhi Hou <lizhi.hou@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon Nov 29 12:23:02 2021 -0800 tty: serial: uartlite: allow 64 bit address [ Upstream commit 3672fb65155530b5eea6225685c75329b6debec3 ] The base address of uartlite registers could be 64 bit address which is from device resource. When ulite_probe() calls ulite_assign(), this 64 bit address is casted to 32-bit. The fix is to replace "u32" type with "phys_addr_t" type for the base address in ulite_assign() argument list.
