If you are using a reasonably new 1.4.23 SVN, this particular bug must be already taken care of. There have been reports of empty subject fields lately. One possible cause is, that some softwares produce incorrectly base64 encoded subject fields. Please take a look at on this mail in the archive: https://www.mail-archive.com/squirrelmail-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/msg33400.html The incorrectly encoded subject appears with an (unknown). However an additional patch exists, which applies a workaround and unhides the incorrectly encoded string - obviously with some errors in it.
