I am having trouble sending mail with SMTP authentication, I need to have messages archived (using archivesmtp 1.1.4) and none of the authenication methods work. Conf.pl claims all methods from plain-text to digest-md5 are supported but none of them work. Any attempts to send messages results in this error: Server replied: 504 5.3.3 AUTH mechanism LOGIN not available I can send mail if I turn off authentication but then no sent messages are archived. Any insight or suggestions will be appreciated.
