POP will work with very little work what's so ever. Most Mac come with 
this pre-installed and will be able to send emails out of the box.

Have you configured your domain name to be registered with your SMTP 
server? Have you created the SMTP accounts?

As you are using Postfix for your email server I recommend reading up on 
this. Mail Severs and Mail Clients are two different beasts.
