Did you remember to restart your web server after "installing" the new "squirrelmail.mo"? dear Fredrick thanks for your answer I tried to use c-format and php-format in the squirrelmail.mo and I've restarted the apache but the strings are not translated I changed few things in the SM code because I had to adjust it for the different environment.
