You have server side sorting turned off and mailbox is sorted. InSquirrelMail 1.4.x internal php based message sorting is slow and useslots of memory. Its limit is somewhere close to 3k messages. Fastest way to display mailbox with lots of messages is to make sure thatit is not sorted. Make sure that sort setting defaults to 0 or remove itfrom user's preferences. If server supports IMAP SORT extension, turn on server side sorting inSquirrelMail configuration.
