Show your SquirrelMail version and list of enabled plugins with version
numbers. I think standard SquirrelMail scripts don't fetch message headers
in left_main.php

Install apc in order to reduce peak memory usage of php scripts.

Make sure that your SquirrelMail installation is optimized. See
