Thanks for the test suggestion Paul.

In SM main directory, browser shows that as blank page.
In src directory, browser shows "magic_quotes_gpc is on"

Does a local php.ini not apply to sub-directories? My new host runs Phpsuexec, so I
have to use php.ini rather than htaccess.
(I'm used to my old host, where I used an .htaccess file to perform PHP overrides.
When placing an .htaccess file in in the SM main directory, htaccess applied to that
directory and all sub-directories. Perhaps this is not the case with php.ini?)
