Hi Patricia.

You've contacted the wrong people. The SquirrelMail Project develops
SquirrelMail, which is only a small component in a complete mail system.
The SquirrelMail Project Team isn't operating the servers you're using, so
you have to contact the ISP that do (my guess is <hostgator.com>).

In your case SquirrelMail isn't even the culprit. Even though you type
your mails in the SquirrelMail user interface, SquirrelMail doesn't really
send the e-mails by itself - they are only handed over to the SMTP server,
which is in charge of the actual delivery. The problem is most likely with
the SMTP server.

Good luck!

Sincerely,
Fredrik
