SM does NOT open files ANYWHERE on your system. It asks the IMAP
server for messages, and the IMAP server does whatever it needs to do
to get those messages to SM. Any errors related to opening files here
and there are entirely in the domain of your IMAP server. Please take
this inquiry to the correct people to get the most efficient help
(remember to search their mailing list archives before just asking).
