get server couldn't find the message you requested error when reading mail for a specific user

The server couldn't find the message you requested.

Most probably your message list was out of date and the message has been 
moved away or deleted (perhaps by another program accessing the same 
mailbox).


I only have a few active accounts on this email server. i only get this 
for one specific user that used to check via POP3 but now only uses web 
interface .. other accounts can read their email thru either IMAP 
clients or web interface with no issue .. user that is getting error 
says there are no POP clients running anywhere .. server is running 
dovecot for the imap/pop3 server on rhel4 .. squirrelmail version is 
1.4.9a .. i can read the email in question direct on the server with no 
problem
