You or some other developer can find all third party modifications bycomparing standard and modified SquirrelMail scripts. Unix and Linuxsystem have utilities that can show all differences between two sets offiles.
SquirrelMail 1.4.2 is very old version. There are known security issues.http://www.squirrelmail.org/security/
If I remember correctly, SquirrelMail had similar issue with downloadedfile names. Header decoding functions didn't decode some header encodings(Q or B) correctly. SquirrelMail has unofficial test plugin which can beused to locate buggy header decoding functions, but it was written forSquirrelMail 1.4.5+
