Hi Paul, Thank you for your response. I understand what the plugin is supposed to do now. I checked the /home/arjun directory and sure enough the files which are mentioned in the config file are there: .vacation.pref .vacation.sq .vacation.msg .forward.fwd .forward.subj In .vacation.pref, DO_AUTO_REPLY = 1 but DO_LOCAL_DELIVERY = 0 - shouldn't it be 1 since I do want emails to still be delivered to my mailbox. Now, I am using sendmail 8.13-8 (MTA) and procmail 3.22-17(LDA). The format for .forward files is just .forward. Re: your subject line: the plugin sends no mail whatsoever. The plugin only sets up a .forward file that your MTA/LDA uses when trying to deliver your mail. You should FIRST determine the correct format for .forward files used by your MTA/LDA, test one that you created manually, and only then set the plugin up so that it can produce the same .forward file. The only thing the plugin needs to conform to is just that - creating the correctly formatted .forward file. The rest is unrelated to SM or the plugin and needs to be addressed as you set up your mail server preferably before you install this plugin. If someone recognizes your setup (although you don't give any information about your MTA/LDA), maybe they can kindly help you here, but you really are starting in the wrong place.
