I have been using squirrelmail for some time. I just migrated to a new, fast server. For reasons I can't understand, it takes over a minute to display all pages, even the first login screen takes about 20 seconds to display.. I tried with a brand new email account and the delay was the same as with an account with a very large in box. For example, it takes over a minute to get the first mailbox screen. The compose screen comes right up, but after clicking "send" it is at least another minute before returning to the in-box. Other PHP applications run extremely fast, even those using database access. I am running qmail with courier-imap and squirrelmail 1.5.1. I use a dedicated qmail-smtpd for smtp outbound mail from squirrelmail. All qmail services are running very fast. The squirrelmail functionality is fine, just very very very slow. Any thoughts? I'm stumped.
