Getting sender description from personal address book

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi, excuse me in advance if this question is strange, but I have to ask...  :-(

In my personal address book I have an entry with all these fields written: name, nickname, email.
Can I force the description field of an incoming email address to be set as the one I have in my personal address book so that in the column "From " you can see the nickname/name and not the one set by the sender?

i.e.
In my personal address book:
Nick name      Name             Email
Friend       xxxxxxxx        xyz@xxxxxxx

When I receive the email from xyz@xxxxxxx as he has set John as his name.
Now when I receive an email from this address in inbox I see John ( as it is
"John" xyz@xxxxxxx) . Can I force the string John to be Friend to be visualized?

May be it could be possible adding the view of a column "nickname" or "name" given by the plugin "Index order"...

Thanks in advance,

Leo.
