There's a global setting for this, as well as personal settings per user.
The personal setting overrides the global setting.

Global:
config/conf.pl
3.  Folder Defaults
7.  By default, move to sent

Personal:
Options
Folder Preferences
Sent Folder

What did you try? I'm not sure, but I think that this too is configurable
by using "config/conf.pl".
