There's no such thing as a MOVE command in IMAP, only COPY.  So yes, the
message is being copied to Trash, then the original is being deleted.

This can cause the quota errors you described.  You can work around it
by using the "bypass trash" checkbox before deleting the message, if
your version of SM has it, or disable the use of the trash folder
temporarily.
