Well, this is still happening.  I left my mail up at home over night and 
had no problems, so I assume that it is a loss of connections over the 
network or something.  I have not really noticed any connection losses, 
so maybe they are just split seconds, and happen to be when PHP is doing 
its thing.

I just want to make sure that I understand what I read.  I should be 
able to up the session.gc_maxlifetime to something like 43200 (12 
hours), and that would probably take care of the problem even if I have 
some connection losses in my network somewhere?  Thanks for any info.
