That's why there is a php 5.1.4. Squirrelmail 1.4.4 is from backports too, so I guess it will take some time till the newer versions are available there. Installing from etch/sid seems not so a good idea, because of dependencies that are not resolved in sarge/backports. By the way: the bugreport sounds like there was an error with *sending* any mail, but I get an error when storing the already sent mail to a specific mailbox. Is it the same error?
