I tried enabling server-side sorting
and it works a treat. I can access these folders now and generally
viewing other folders is much snappier. Thanks for that Bernard Chris Hilts wrote: -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Bernard Lee wrote:I have found on several occasions that if one of my mailboxes collects too many emails, I cannot access it anymore. I click the folder on the navigation and it'll load up with a blank page. Other folders still work fine after that occurs. I have worked around it by using another IMAP client to split the amount of mail into separate folders but I can't keep doing that, especially for accounts that aren't mine. You didn't mention what IMAP server you're using. If it supports the IMAP SORT command, enable server-side sorting using the conf.pl tool. Most often the problem matching the symptoms you describe is PHP running out of time or memory while attempting to sort the message headers. There has been work done in the 1.5 tree to optimize this, but even with 1.5 the developers of SquirrelMail recommend using server-side sorting if at all possible.
