It is all very well having Squid understand the address, but you wont be going anywhere if the network does not also have support working. Also, the URL needs to have it in proper IPv6 URL format with [] brackets. eg. CONNECT [::1]:443 HTTP/1.0 Just in case, check the 'squid -v' output for --disable-ipv6. But I expect you would be seeing a parse error if that were the problem.
