I see no point to do this with squid.

10 GBps NIC is invented already. So, bandwith is no problem.

Load balancing task is also better to do with active network equipement, like Cisco.

I consider it appropriate to use things for non-core functions.

In fact, I just did not hear the problem statement, which could be required for this functionality.
