Re: Issue with Squid_ldap_group (Windows) ?

Thanks.

I’ve a little bit of experience with Fedora so i ‘ve created a VirtualBox
machine and I’ve installed a Fedora Core 18.

I’ve installed squid (yum install squid) ; I modified squid.conf with
external helpers (squid_ldap_auth and squid_ldap_group) but the service
squid fails because there’s no squid_ldap_auth (or group) in the folder
/usr/lib64/squid.

I think squid comes with no ldap helpers and so I must recompile it but I
don’t know how.

Squid version is : rpm –q squid
 squid-3.2.13-1.fc18.x86_64.

As I said I think squid must be recompiled with options to enable
external-helpers; if this is the problem, how can I implement this features
?

I read something about it ; download the source of squid and then (after
execute tar command) execute ./configure –helpersoption and finally make
install but I’ve no experience about this.

Can someone help me ?
