I have installed a ntp server on windows xp with squid 2.7. and i have configured ntpd. Now i have changed on a windows xp client (i have modified registry to include internal ip address of my squid) but it doesn't works.

Windows client; ip: 130.210.69.2
                           gateway: 130.210.69.1
                           dns primary: 130.210.69.1

Windows xp with squid: internal ip: 130.210.69.1
                                         external ip: 192.168.1.2
                                         gateway: 192.168.1.1
                                         dns primary: 80.58.0.33
                                         dns secondary: 80.58.32.97

On a modem-router adsl i have used NAT and port 123 to 192.168.1.2 address(external )

any idea ?

Hi/Hola,

From some point of view, it is better to setup yourself a NTP server for the local LAN and allow NTP Server to update time to any ntp.*.com sources, then thru DHCP or manually configure users to update localtime from the loca resource, that way you can save a lot of traffic and efforts.

Then open the UDP port 123 on your router and let's the traffic flow.

Cheers/saludos.

Where i have to open port 123 ? On a
Modem-router adsl and i must to have nat to the proxy
external address ?

can connect to in order to time sync. You can either open
TCP/123 and UDP/123 for your clients to the internet, or set
up NTPD on your squid server and specify it as your NTP
server.
