parent cache configuration

I have installed a Squid proxy behind a corporate proxy. All I know about it' the configuration for the browser: ipaddress and port, no authentication.
I've tryed to put this lines in squid.conf:

cache_peer 172.20.127.20 parent 801 3130 no-query default
or
cache_peer 172.20.127.20 parent 801 3130 no-query
or
cache_peer 172.20.127.20 parent 801 3130 default
or
cache_peer 172.20.127.20 parent 801 0 no-query default
or
cache_peer 172.20.127.20 parent 801 7 no-query default
or
cache_peer 172.20.127.20 parent 801 3130
or cache_peer 172.20.127.20 parent 801

nothing is working.
The squid access.log reports a lot of TCP_MISS. The client's browser can reach only cached pages, but for new pages after c.a.30 seconds displays this messages, that proxy 172.20.127.20 don't reply to requests.

What is wrong in my configuration?
thank a lot
Paolo
