Sure. But I think the question was specifically whether squid can proxy DNS requests which it cannot do.
If we are to take a giant leap and assume he meant Squid caching IPs, identifying dead HTTP servers and routing around them to the working ones. Squid does do that.
Hmm. Could the original poster enlighten us? I clearly understood "proxying DNS requests" not "proxing HTTP requests and round-robin them" but this may be a misconception. Regards, jc
