The Squid HTTP Proxy team is very pleased to announce the
availability of the Squid-3.1.0.11 beta release!

This release contains a number of ICAP and Adaptation changes which have been waiting for merge unnoticed for some time now. By special and unanimous vote of the developers it was decided that these changes were important enough to be merged with 3.1 instead of held off for 3.2.

For those who need or use ICAP/eCAP functionality in 3.1 we recommend testing this out. For those who do not, this release is expected to have little difference from the previous release.

Changes of Note in this release:
  - Bug 2087: Support adaptation sets and chains
  - Bug 2459: dns error message broken when error handling delayed
  - Support ICAP Retry
  - Support ICAP retries based on the ICAP responses status code
  - Support logging ICAP
  - Support logging total DNS wait time
  - Support logging response times of adaptation transactions
  - Dynamically form chains based on ICAP X-Next-Services header
  - Support cross-transactional ICAP header exchange
