My SG version is pretty old, 1.2.1.

Wich version of squidGuard are you running? I had the same problem and
i resolved it updating from squidGuard 1.3 to 1.4. Never more that
error...

I assume the problem you are reporting is the redirectors starting up again during a shutdown. Is this correct?

Yes Amos, you're absolutely correct.

How can I solve this problem? Now I increase the redirector and monitoring progress.
