what dou you mean with:

Well, I'm hearing a few ident issues at present, some people have worked 
on and solved some of them in 3.1.0.7 and some since still testing patches.

This thread started with "Same problem in 3.1.0.6" no reference to 
_which_ problem.

Thank you for pointing out an issue, please try again with some details 
  as to which you are referring, and if possible test out the patches we 
have in bugzilla for the remaining ident issues.


Then I must stat yet again the words written next to the download links:

  "If you have any problems with a development release please write to 
our squid-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or squid-dev@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx lists. DO 
NOT write to squid-users with code-related problems."
