add more disk space

for example, in my case I add hd 3 months ago, /dev/sde

step 1
format /dev/sde1

step 2
STOP SQUID CACHE!

step 3
MAKE SURE YOU DID STOP SQUID CACHE!

step 4
mount new disk
mkdir /tmp
mount /dev/sde1 /tmp

step 5
move all /var data to new disk
mv /var/* /tmp

step 5
add this line in /etc/fstab:

/dev/sde1 /var ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1

step 6
run mount or reboot server, whatever you want, this will permanently mount /var on /dev/sde1

to see results, just type mount and one of the lines will look like this:

/dev/sde1 on /var type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro)

or, flush cache and configure squid to a smaller squid size, but I would definitelly add more disk :D
