LDAP Authentication with Umlauts

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I configured squid to use LDAP authentication (squid_ldap_auth) against a windows domain server which is working fine as long as usernames don't contain umlauts.

Linux is configured with LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 and I tested authentication with the command line and here squid_ldap_auth is able to work with umlauts, they are also displayed correctly when using the -v 3 command line option.

However, authentication with Firefox or IE doesn't work, even if I change the default charset to UTF-8.

Thanks for an advice

Egon
