Confirmed this problem *does* exist on IE6 behind Squid by attempting to download a suse 10.x DVD image some 3454MB in size. Download indicator went form 0% to 100% in less than a second and confirmed a download size of 554 bytes in 1 sec. Confirmed this problem *does not* exist on IE7 behind Squid. Same file started at the same time and the download indicator tells me I can expect a 2:42 wait with the current download rate of 355 KB/sec (Not bad for a 512kbps DSL). Here's the link for anyone else wanting to try a large file download: http://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/current/iso/SUSE-10.0-EvalDVD-i386-GM.iso
Ok. I did pentance and upgraded to STABLE12. [root@masada1 ~]# /usr/sbin/squid -v Squid Cache: Version 2.6.STABLE12 The above confirmation stands true. It appears to be an IE6 issue. Sorry for the multiple posts. Chris
