COSS crash issues

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi All

I have submitted long time ago
http://www.squid-cache.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=1820

Seems it is taken as not serious bug. But if you need proper testing, and
catch small bugs, i guess feature must be relatively stable. On my
expirience, i have 5 busy caches (around 200 req/s and more), and i am trying
to run COSS about 1 month. As another submitter reported - if COSS damaged,
it's just going to loop and restarting non-stop, damaging caches content more
and becoming completely useless, till someone fix a problem. I think it will
be useful, if COSS will ignore and clean object which failed. And really many
people need it, because already there is chance squid will crash on some
operations, and very high chance COSS will get corrupted, and i will need to
"zero" all cache.
