I'm new to this type of work, and I'm going through a squid install just to learn the process. I'm working with the Squid 2.6 Stable6 daily release from 20070111. I'm running HP-UX 11.11 as the OS. I've verified the dependencies for Squid, and I believe I have all of them installed properly. I run the ./configure command (no other parameters), and it seems to complete successfully. When I execute the make command, and I receive the following sequence of error messages: multicast.c: In function 'mcastJoinGroups': multicast.c:55: error: storage size of 'mr' isn't known multicast.c:69: error: invalid application of 'sizeof' to incomplete type 'struct ip_mreq' gmake[2]: *** [multicast.o] Error 1 gmake[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/squid-2.6.STABLE6-20070111/src' gmake[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/squid-2.6.STABLE6-20070111/src' gmake: *** [all] Error 2 *** Error exit code 1 Stop. I found one match on the above message sequence on the web, but no one ever answered the post in that particular forum. I was hoping someone would be able to provide some guidance for a "newbie" like me. Thanks.
