The Squid default signature is added automatically unless %s is
used in the error page. To change the signature you must manually
append the signature to each error page.
If I understand the English correctly here, this means that whatever
you do, %s will be added to the error page - If it is there, it will
not be added, if it is not there, it will be added....
The only way I found around this was commenting out a few lines in
src/errorpage.c
