aufs vs diskd

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,
I am running latest squid (2.6.STABLE3)
on a linux machine (latest stable 2.6 kernel)
and observed the following behavior:

when using aufs the store rebuilding is done MUCH faster compared to
diskd. But when using diskd, once the store is rebuilt the load average is
always lower than 1. With aufs it is usually above 2. The CPU time is done
mostly by iowait. There is plenty of memory on the machine. It doesn't run
any other services.

So which one should i use?
