ya thanx. may i know whether samba supports multiple windows domain, since
my squid functions as proxy of an ISP company.

Using a more recent Samba version is strongly recommended. Samba-2.X is
end-of-life.

Do you have a Windows domain? If so then the above is the information
about your Windows domain and only you can know what to enter.. (your
windows domain name, and your windows domain controller)
If you do not have a Windows domain then NTLM won't work "magically".
