acl for always_direct

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Sirs,

I have set up an acl for www.worldbookonline.com as follows:
    acl worldbookonline dstdomain .worldbookonline.com
                always_direct allow worldbookonline

                acl wbrl dstdomain wbrl.worldbookonline.com/
                always_direct allow wbrl

This is a subscription site for library research. When accessing the latter
wbrl.worldbookonline.com all you get (sometimes) is a clicking sound and the
page constantly reloads. grepping through the access logs I see

1142270646.852 2 10.40.17.72 TCP_IMS_HIT/304 220 GET
http://wbrl.worldbookonline.com/Images_ie/activetab.gif - NONE/- image/gif
ALLOW "Educational/Reference"

"Educational/Reference"
1142270646.858 1 10.40.17.72 TCP_IMS_HIT/304 220 GET
http://wbrl.worldbookonline.com/Images_ie/itab3.gif - NONE/- image/gif ALLOW

image/gif ALLOW "Educational/Reference"

I guess I am a little confused about the none part of the access.log. I was
expecting a /DIRECT maybe. Site seems to work when I first restart squid on
the proxy server than it bombs out. I cant find anything different in the
access.log or the cache.logs that indicates what the problem maybe. According
to the tech support at worldbookonline, their site can not be proxied. Do I
have my acl rules right for the workstation to directly connect to this site?
If not what should I change?

thanks,

ddh
