Missconfiguration on Squid

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

For some reason that only God knows (and some of you) the Squid 2.5 stable
something from RedHat (last version available) it is not working. It is not
respong from outside (internet). I have to admit: Squid is to much for my
poor knowledgment. As my network is quite simple, 1 Win2K server
(192.168.0.10 fixed)+IIS, 1 Linux RedHat (192.168.0.11 fixed)+Apache+Squid,
router (192.168,0,1) and Dynamic IP provider.
1- My problem: To have IIS and Apache responding both to port 80 - The both
servers have several virtual sites and I can't use port 81 ou similar.

questions:

1- Do I need to use Squid to solve my problem?
2- Do I need to config DNS server?
3- Do a good soul has a squid.conf file that match or close of my needs? Or
have a similar problem?
