Hi,

At 19.42 15/07/2005, kdv wrote:

What could be the problem? Any time I run squid (squid -z; squid; squid -k reconfigure; squid -k kill), it says (directly to the console):

2005/07/15 18:26:23| Memory pools are 'off'; limit: 2.00 MB

And thus squid often restarts (when I try to browse through it).

OS: Mandrake 10.0
Squid: squid-3.0-PRE3-20050715 (also tried 20050710-20050714)
./configure: --prefix=/home/kdv/tmp/squid0715
squid.conf: the only change is - http_port 8080
df: /home free 600MB

I saw this thread http://www.squid-cache.org/mail-archive/squid-users/200501/0506.html.

As you can read in the previous thread, this is a problem of the current Squid 3.0 development snapshot.

Don't expect high stability from the current Squid 3.0, there are some know problems into. But it will be very useful for the development if you could report any problem using it. Take a look here:
http://www1.it.squid-cache.org/Doc/FAQ/FAQ-11.html#ss11.19

But I want to know where to look for a bug in sources?

Bugzilla could be a good start: http://www.squid-cache.org/bugs/index.cgi

Regards

Guido
